The markets

Two markets a year: one for the holidays, one for spring.

Both are held in front of Adjectives Altamonte, 10am to 3pm. Vendors can apply for either market, or both, any time.

This is a unique opportunity to showcase your talents. If you're a local artist, collector or creator, we invite you to join us at one or both of our outdoor markets. Past experience selling at market shows or in vintage and antique spaces is not required, but it helps.

An open space just outside the overhang and through the side parking lot. Bring your own tent or canopy, no larger than 10' × 10' and weighted down.

Registered non-profit organizations focused on community benefit are welcome at no charge for donation-based fundraising. Tell us about your non-profit in the application's notes.

  • Each space is $25, paid online from the link in your confirmation email once you are approved
  • Power is not available at any space
  • Specific spaces and special requests are not guaranteed
  • Bring bags for purchases made at your booth
  • Setup starts at 8:30am; be ready by 10am and staffed until 3pm

    Do I need a tent?

    Yes, if you choose a space that is not under the overhang, to protect you and your customers from the heat. Tents must be no larger than 10' × 10' and weighted down for safety. Any color is fine.

    Are there restrictions on displays, tables or fixtures?

    As long as customers can safely reach the merchandise in your space, your space is yours to use as you wish.

    What if I need more space?

    Note on your application that you are requesting two spaces. If space allows, we may be able to give you two adjacent 10' × 10' spaces.

    What time do we set up?

    Setup begins at 8:30am. You don't need to be there at 8:30 if you don't need much setup time, but you must be fully set up by 10am when the market opens.

    What times am I required to be there?

    You (or another adult) must be present in your space for the whole market, until it ends at 3pm. The store closes at 7pm, so there is plenty of time to pack up.

    How many people will be in attendance?

    Attendance varies with the weather and other factors, but we typically see around 2,000 shoppers over the course of the day.

    Do I need to put price tags on my items?

    You may price your items as you wish. We recommend a transparent, straightforward, easy-to-understand pricing structure.

    How do I take payments?

    You may take payments in your space, but please note that the City of Altamonte Springs requires sellers to have a business license for direct sales to the public. If you do not have a business license, any sales you conduct directly with the public are at your own risk. You may also send customers inside to our registers to pay; if you do, we deduct 15% to cover staff time and credit card fees, and checks for sales proceeds are issued on the normal Adjectives vendor check cycle.

    Is my market vendor fee refundable?

    No, vendor fees are not refundable, but they may be applied toward a future outdoor market.
